A rare and collectable Egyptian Zar amulet box pendant with five bead dangles attached. The box is openable at the top and ornamented on both sides. The amulet is attached on a long necklace with several silver and glass beads, connected with larger jumprings. This kind of Zar amulets were worn during the ceremonies which are held to take away or protect the wearer of the zar-spirit, which has taken possession of a person, in order to heal this person from the spirits caused illness.
