Here we have an old (mid 20th century) and substantial brass chameleon ring from the Lobi tribe of Burkina Faso. This special ring has two chameleons beneath each other. It's a ring size 7.75 / 8 and the ring weights 16gr. The chameleon has a length of 20mm (0.8"). The chameleon has been valued all over Africa for its magical properties and has been worn for protection. This ring has been made with the lost wax method. That means, that the mold is destroyed after each casting, so every jewel is a unique piece.
